Cerro Verde es una reserva natural y es un volcán inactivo ubicado a una altitud de 2,035 MSNM y longitud de 500 hectáreas, posee un bosque nebuloso adentro y alrededor de su cráter con una temperatura que oscila entre los 12 y 18 grados centígrados.
